We are currently looking for a Traffic Planner to join our Milk Reload Operations team based in Longtown. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning of our milk reload vehicle movements, working alongside other Traffic Planners within the Milk Operation teams to efficiently schedule daily planning activity, ensuring the most efficient use of vehicles and drivers during collections and deliveries, whilst taking account of WTR and Drivers Hours Rules, vehicle weights and dimensions and the Road Traffic Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Effective planning of an agreed amount of resource (vehicles, drivers, trailers) maximising vehicle utilisation and minimising cost.
- Ensuring planned routes are in line with working time directive (WTD) and drivers hours rules.
- Effective communication with stakeholders to ensure agreed customer SLAs are achieved.
