We are currently looking for Class 1 Drivers to join our General Haulage team, based out of Longtown, with opportunities to work either dayshift or nightshift on a 5 days per week, Monday to Friday shift pattern.

*Rates include non-taxable meal allowance of £1.00 payable per hour, payable when in attendance at work.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering a professional and efficient driving service within our General Haulage team, undertaking deliveries and collections of products on behalf of Wm Armstrong Group.
- All duties associated with being a professional driver.
- Loading/Unloading and securing loads.
- Dealing with customers face to face.
- Keeping in regular contact with transport office team for updates on progress and managing customers expectations.
- Cross cover of work within other areas of the business as required.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid UK Class 1 licence.
- Hold a current DCPC card and digital tachograph card.
- Experience and knowledge of the general haulage industry is preferred, but not essential.
- Ability to work unsupervised, or as part of a wider team, and be able to use your own initiative.
- To be successful in this role you will be a real team player, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and good geographical knowledge.
