Salary: £35,000 to £42,000 per annum (*enhanced salary for Nightshift)

Shift: Days & Nights

Positions available: 4 on 4 off, 12 hours per shift

Join Our Team and Help Keep the Nations Milk Moving. We are looking for experienced and motivated Supervisors to join our Milk Operations team in Carnforth, with opportunities to work either Dayshift or Nightshift.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily milk logistics in your designated area, making sure our drivers, resources, and schedules all work together seamlessly to deliver outstanding service. You will be the vital link between our Driving Team and the Operations Management Team, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and team engagement.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise and support the Driving Team, communicating start times, load details, and shift expectations.
  • Lead daily briefings, support investigations, and manage effective shift handovers.
  • Monitor milk collection schedules, ensuring drivers follow routes and telematics plans.
  • Maintain compliance with Working Time Directive and driver hours regulations.
  • Log and report incidents, vehicle defects, and maintenance requirements.
  • Support KPI tracking and help identify improvements in efficiency.
  • Act as the first point of contact for driver queries, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Assist with holiday planning, shift coverage, and staffing coordination.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in transport or logistics operations, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Understanding of transport legislation and compliance, with milk operations knowledge a plus.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, able to lead teams and liaise with multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with transport management systems & telematics.
  • Calm, flexible, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
