We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations throughout Scotland. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Experience is preferred, as well as a background in commercial driving but training will be provided if a new driver shows willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and at delivery sites.
- Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle by reporting any issues or necessary repairs.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Driver with a valid driving licence.
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of road networks.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
