Powder Coater responsibilities include:
- Preparation work including shot blasting to prepare items for powder coating
- Priming and powder coating a range of sheet metal products
- Maintaining Health & Safety standards
- Performing quality checks on powder coated items before packaging
- Monitoring powder stock levels
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the powder coating workshop
- Assisting with general production in the workshop where required
As the Powder Coater you will:
- Come from an engineering background with an ability to read drawings
- Ideally have previous experience of working in a powder coating workshop
- Have a strong attention to detail to finish items to a high standard
- Be comfortable working in confined spaces at times
- Have excellent communication skills in order to communicate with colleagues, managers and office staff in relation to production, quality and Health and Safety issues
- Be a team player with excellent problem solving skills
- Be able to prioritise your own workload and work well under minimal supervision
- Be expected to inspect your own work and report any quality issues
Due to this company’s location you will need to hold a driving license and have your own transport. The successful Powder Coater candidate will be flexible and available for overtime when required.
Rate depending on shifts/rotation. Job Type: Temp to perm. Pay: £16.44 per hour.
