15 hours per week, Mon-Fri 10.30am - 1.30pm Term Time Only

We are looking for a friendly and efficient kitchen assistant on a temporary basis to work at Pocklington Junior School.

Core Purpose

Safe preparation and food service. Assist the school cook with the delivery of an exceptional food service in line with the requirements of food hygiene, health and safety and food safety management.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Compliance with allergens
  • Cleaning of kitchen equipment and dining hall (as appropriate)
  • General kitchen and dining hall duties, including preparing and serving, moving and setting up furniture and clearing away equipment and tables.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of food safety and allergens (training can be provided)
  • Ability to work under direction and on own initiative
