WLP Recruitment is working exclusively with a leading UK-based organisation to appoint a visionary and strategic Director of IT. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the organisations entire technology landscape and driving innovation, security, and scalability across the business.
About the Role: You will lead the IT function, manage digital transformation initiatives, align IT with business goals, and build a high-performing technology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the company’s IT strategy and roadmap
- Oversee infrastructure, security, applications, and support teams
- Lead major transformation projects including cloud migration, ERP, and automation
- Manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection standards
- Collaborate with C-level leadership to drive business-wide tech innovation
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in an IT Director, Head of IT, or similar senior leadership role
- Strong technical understanding of infrastructure, cloud (Azure/AWS), ERP/CRM systems, and cybersecurity
- Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation initiatives
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in regulated environments (finance, healthcare, legal, etc.) is a plus
