About the Role
As an Experienced Parts Advisor, you will play a vital role in keeping our workshop efficient and our trade and retail customers fully supplied. Working at the core of our operations, you’ll oversee parts lookup, stock control, and trade counter enquiries with precision and efficiency.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Parts Identification & Ordering: Accurately identify, source, and order genuine parts using electronic parts catalogues (EPC) and dealership management systems (DMS).
- Workshop & Technician Support: Pre-pick parts for scheduled service and repair work to maximize workshop efficiency and productivity.
- Trade & Retail Sales: Serve trade counter visitors and phone customers, offering expert product advice and maximizing upsell opportunities.
- Stock Control & Inventory: Assist with stock taking, goods in/out, inventory control, and maintaining a well-organized stockroom.
- Supplier & Customer Relations: Handle parts enquiries promptly, manage backorders, and ensure timely updates on stock availability.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a seasoned parts professional who hits the ground running. You will have:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience working as a Parts Advisor in a franchised dealership or busy automotive parts environment with at least 2 years experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with electronic parts catalogues (EPC), dealership management systems, and core stock-control routines.
- Strong Customer & Sales Focus: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of delivering great customer service and driving parts sales.
- High Attention to Detail: Precise stock accuracy and strong organizational skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required (occasional local deliveries or stock transfer may be required).
