As our group continues to grow, we are looking for a sharp, commercially minded, and experienced Parts Advisor to join our busy team at our new retailer in Upminster, Essex. If you bring solid automotive parts experience, a deep understanding of parts cataloguing, and a passion for keeping workshops and retail customers moving seamlessly, this is the perfect opportunity to elevate your career within an established dealership group.
As an Experienced Parts Advisor, you will play a vital role in keeping our workshop efficient and our trade and retail customers fully supplied. Working at the core of our operations, you'll oversee parts lookup, stock control, and trade counter enquiries with precision and efficiency.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Parts Identification & Ordering: Accurately identify, source, and order genuine parts using electronic parts catalogues (EPC) and dealership management systems (DMS).
- Workshop & Technician Support: Pre-pick parts for scheduled service and repair work to maximize workshop efficiency and technician productivity.
- Trade & Retail Sales: Serve trade counter visitors and phone customers, offering expert product advice and maximizing upsell opportunities.
- Stock Control & Inventory: Assist with stock taking, goods in/out, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, well-organized stockroom.
- Supplier & Customer Relations: Handle parts enquiries promptly, manage backorders, and ensure timely updates on stock availability.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience working as a Parts Advisor in a franchised dealership or busy automotive parts environment (minimum 2 years).
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with electronic parts catalogues (EPC), dealership management systems, and core stock-control routines.
- Customer & Sales Focus: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of delivering great customer service and driving parts sales.
- Attention to Detail: Precise stock accuracy and strong organizational skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required (occasional local deliveries or stock transfers may be required).
Earnings: Competitive Basic Salary (Dependent on Experience) + Performance/Sales Bonus
