The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

Responsibilities include the standardization, consolidation, and preparation of system documentation for the FLAGCIS (maritime deployable communication & information system modules). The role involves publishing, communicating, and implementing a realizable information knowledge management (IKM) plan for operational system documentation for the FLAGCIS system, including timelines, deliverables, and responsibilities for drafting and approval.

Assists in the production, validation, and refinement of system-level and technical documentation, operating procedures, maintenance plans, technical schematics, checklists, and operator/technical manuals. Supports the coordination of documentation of infrastructure and CIS connectivity requirements to upgrade facilities for FLAGCIS. Monitors, records, and reports progress of IKM plan fulfillment, while recording observations and exceptions, proposing alternate production plans in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Provides advice to key stakeholders including NCIA Service Level and Service Delivery Managers, Service owners, Commander CSU, Branch Heads, Principal Technicians, MARCOM HQ personnel, and AIRBUS technicians. Provides support to FLAGCIS validation and integration Technician as required.

Requirements Description:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in creation, planning and management of Information and Knowledge Management of Technology related artefacts.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office suite is required.

Desirable Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related discipline.
  • Experience in creating Information Knowledge Management Plans.
  • Experience in drafting technical documentation, including but not limited to: system-level and technical documentation, operating procedures, maintenance plans, technical schematics, checklists, and operator/technical manuals.

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation and user guides is required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
