This is a key technical role within DIANA’s ERP transformation journey, responsible for the development, customization, and integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). As a Dynamics 365 F&O Developer, you will act as a bridge between business needs and system capabilities, ensuring that critical finance and procurement processes—from vendor management and purchase orders to general ledger and budget control—are automated, compliant, and audit-ready.
Responsibilities
- Customize and configure Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, demonstrating expertise in its data structures, frameworks, and development tools such as Visual Studio and Lifecycle Services (LCS), Unified Developer Experience (UDE), and the Power Platform Admin Centre (PPAC).
- Participate in all phases of the Dynamics 365 F&O implementation lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Develop, enhance, and stabilise core Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations modules including Procurement & Sourcing, Purchase Orders, Vendor Management, General Ledger, Budgeting, Payments, and Travel & Expense.
- Extend and enhance standard Dynamics 365 modules through customizations using X++, C#, and integration patterns.
- Design and build integrations between F&O and external systems using Power Automate, Dataverse, virtual tables, and RESTful APIs.
- Create and maintain automated workflows and approval processes that embed business rules, thresholds, compliance controls, and auditability.
- Design, maintain, and optimise Data Entities and Data Management Framework (DMF) pipelines for structured data import/export, reporting, and cross-system synchronisation.
- Use the Power Platform to develop low-code applications (Power Apps) and incorporate AI features to enhance F&O processes.
- Customise and maintain document templates and outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with finance and procurement requirements.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and third-level support for new and existing Dynamics 365 applications.
- Consult with clients and end-users on technical and functional aspects of the platform.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience.
- Proven experience developing, customizing, and supporting solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
- Proficiency in X++ and C# for Dynamics 365 F&O customizations and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Data Entities, DMF, and structured reporting in Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Experience supporting finance and procurement approval logic, compliance requirements, and audit-ready ERP processes.
- Experience working closely with finance, procurement and operational stakeholders to translate policies into system logic.
- Experience with Power Platform tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, virtual tables, and integration patterns.
- Experience with Visual Studio and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
- Working knowledge of Unified Developer Experience (UDE) and Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).
- Experience participating in all phases of ERP implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build automated workflows and integrations between F&O and external systems using Power Platform technologies.
- Knowledge of extension models, upgrade strategies, coding standards, and maintainability best practices.
- Proven ability to provide maintenance, performance tuning, and third-level support for Dynamics 365 applications.
- Strong communication skills for consulting with clients and translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master) strongly preferred.
- Dynamics 365 Solution Architect Expert or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Developer Associate, or equivalent.
