We are looking for a Head of People & Performance to own performance, incentives, and people risk across the business. This is a leadership function focused on building a high-performing, accountable team while ensuring people's decisions are fair, compliant, and aligned with the long-term interests of the business.

You will work closely with the CEO and COO to set clear performance expectations, support difficult conversations, and ensure people's decisions are fair, compliant, and well-documented.

Key responsibilities
  • Performance & accountability
    • Design and own the company's performance management framework
    • Establish clear review cycles, expectations, and success metrics
    • Support leaders with underperformance and improvement plans
    • Coach leaders through difficult feedback, performance issues, and exits
    • Ensure consistency, fairness, and documentation in all people decisions
  • Incentives & retention
    • Design short-term and long-term incentive structures
    • Align compensation, bonuses, and progression with performance and business goals
  • Business protection
    • Oversee employment risk, compliance, and people-related documentation
    • Partner with legal where needed to mitigate exposure
    • Ensure terminations and disputes are handled cleanly and defensibly
  • Leadership & org design
    • Advise leadership on role clarity, team structure, and growth planning
    • Act as a strategic thought partner on people decisions
Ideal profile
  • 8–12+ years experience in senior HR / People leadership roles
  • Strong background in performance management and employee relations
  • Comfortable handling high-stakes, sensitive conversations
  • Commercially minded and risk-aware
  • Able to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience supporting international or fully remote teams
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Deel, Workable, or other global HR systems
  • Experience mentoring, training, or supporting HR or admin team members
