We are currently recruiting for a CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a well-established Precision Engineering company supplying into the Aerospace and Defence sectors. Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, the company is looking to strengthen its machining team with an experienced CNC professional.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Turning machines producing high-precision components for Aerospace and Defence customers. The role will involve working on small to medium batch work to tight tolerances within a modern machining environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Turning machines.
  • Working with Fanuc or Siemens controls.
  • Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances.
  • Machining complex components using 2-axis or Multi-Axis CNC machines.
  • Editing and optimising CNC programs.
  • Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
  • Carrying out self-inspection using standard inspection equipment.
  • Working closely with Production and Quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
What’s Needed to be Considered:
  • Previous experience Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Lathes.
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc or Siemens controls.
  • Experience with 2-axis or Multi-Axis machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Aerospace or Defence machining experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
