We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a growing Precision Engineering business supplying into the Aerospace and Defence industries. The company specialises in the manufacture of high-precision machined components and is looking to add an experienced CNC Miller to its skilled engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Milling machines producing complex precision components for Aerospace and Defence customers. The role will involve working within a fast-paced machine shop environment manufacturing small to medium batch work to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Milling machines.
- Working with Heidenhain or Mazak controls.
- Machining complex precision components to tight tolerances.
- Working on 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC Milling machines.
- Editing and optimising CNC programs.
- Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
- Carrying out self-inspection using standard inspection equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement and efficient production processes.
- CAD/CAM programming experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
What’s Needed to be Considered:
- Previous experience Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Mills.
- Experience using Heidenhain or Mazak controls.
- Strong 3, 4 or 5-axis machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- CAD/CAM programming experience would be advantageous.
- Aerospace or Defence industry experience would be advantageous.
- High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
