We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established Precision Engineering business supplying into the Aerospace, Defence and Sub-Contract sectors. The company specialises in high-precision, low-volume machining and, due to continued growth and increasing demand from both existing and new customers, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with an additional Estimator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive quotations for customers across the Aerospace and Defence industries. This will involve reviewing technical drawings and specifications, assessing machining requirements, calculating material and subcontract costs, and working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to ensure realistic lead times and manufacturing capability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Producing detailed quotations for precision machined components.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and customer RFQs.
  • Calculating machining times, material costs and subcontract processes.
  • Assessing machine capacity, lead times and manufacturing capability.
  • Liaising with customers and internal departments regarding quotations and technical queries.
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the estimating process.
What’s Needed to be Considered:
  • Previous experience as an Estimator within CNC / Precision Engineering OR a CNC Machinist.
