The Role
As CMM Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting precision-engineered components throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring all products meet the required drawings, specifications and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Programming, setting and operating CMM equipment
- Producing and updating CMM inspection programmes
- Completing first-off, in-process and final inspections
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Inspecting precision-machined components using a range of measuring equipment
- Recording inspection results and producing quality documentation
- Identifying and reporting non-conforming components
- Supporting investigations into quality issues
- Working closely with production and engineering teams
