An exciting opportunity has arisen within our FinanceDirectorate for aService Charge Analyst.

The Service Charge Analyst will prepare, analyse and maintain accurate service charge budgets, forecasts, estimates and reconciliations, ensuring all charges are correctly apportioned, recoverable and compliant with lease provisions, legislation and organisational financial controls. They will provide technical financial expertise to support the service charge function, maintain robust audit trails, and ensure the integrity of service charge data, systems and calculations.

The postholder's responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed annual service charge budgets, estimates and actuals for all relevant schemes.
• Ensure all service charge costs are apportioned correctly in accordance with lease provisions and approved methodologies.
• Analyse estimates and actual expenditure against scheme register assumptions.
• Maintain and update the service charge scheme register
• Review and validate scheme setup, cost codes and charging structures.
• Produce journals, accruals, prepayments and financial adjustments as required.
• Support validation of escalated disputes through financial and lease analysis.
• Liaise with Finance, Housing, Repairs, Development and other stakeholders to validate cost and scheme data.
• Contribute to development of service charge procedures, guidance and documentation.

Due to the nature of this post, employment in this role is dependent on a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
