The predicted salary is between 25000 - 32000 £ per year.

Working individually and on occasions as part of a team to operate a range of machinery to produce a variety of metal materials with manual and automated equipment, to a high quality standard meeting hourly production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products.
  • Proactive communication with supervisors, managers and Quality Control regarding production, quality and H&S issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
  • Maintaining H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE.

General Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in engineering sheet metal production, setting and operating CNC press-brakes.
  • Regular quality checks.
  • Following internal processes.
  • Completing paperwork.
  • Understanding of basic IT.

Qualifications/Courses/Experience

  • Previous experience of Trumpf machines.
  • Previous experience of using measuring equipment.
  • Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities.
  • Understanding of Engineering drawings.
  • Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines and demands.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Operational Fault Finding and problem solving.
  • Work independently and part of a team.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness.
  • Manage self, working/assisting colleagues obtaining their involvement and buy in.
  • Effective contribution.
