We are looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to support the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs), HGVs and Municipal Fleet Vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Repair and installation of 12V & 24V electrical systems
- CANbus diagnostics and fault rectification
- Installation and repair of:
- Reverse cameras
- Beacons & warning systems
- PTO controls
- Battery & charging systems
- Telematics & tracking systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Carry out electrical testing, inspections and PDI work
- Support vehicle refurbishment and build projects
Requirements
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles, refuse vehicles or plant equipment
- Knowledge of CANbus systems
- Experience with 12V & 24V vehicle electrics
- Full UK Driving Licence
- HGV Licence
- Hydraulic systems knowledge
- IRTEC accreditation
£28.00 per hour contract rate (inside IR35) + overtime
