Working individually and on occasions as part of a team to operate a range of machinery to produce a variety of metal materials with manual and automated equipment, to a high quality standard meeting hourly production targets
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products
- Proactive communication with supervisors, managers and Quality Control regarding production, quality and H&S issues.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Maintaining H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE
General Requirements
- Previous experience of working in engineering sheet metal production
- Setting and operating CNC flatbed lasers & Punch presses
- Following internal processes
- Completing paperwork
- Understanding of basic IT
Qualifications, Courses, Experience
- Previous experience obtained in a manufacturing environment ideally with knowledge of Trumpf and Mazak machinery
- Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities
- FLT
- Understanding of Engineering drawings
- Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines and demands
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Operational Fault Finding and problem solving
- Work independently and part of a team.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness
- Manage self, working/assisting colleagues obtaining their involvement and buy in
