To meet our growth objectives, we are currently seeking a detail-orientated Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist to strengthen our Technical Team with the development of new off-site construction products within our Modular Buildings and Housings Division, delivering accurate and compliant technical information from concept through to manufacture. The successful candidates will need to demonstrate a methodical approach to design and problem solving that can be applied to finding innovative turnkey / modular solutions using responsibly sourced and recycled materials throughout.

Key Tasks

  • Advise, support and lead on the design and development of new Modular Building and Housing systems.
  • Sketching and drawing ideas and concepts.
  • Detail and develop your ideas from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and material manufacturers.
  • Liaison with senior management and a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Undertake client visits and conduct market research into contemporary off-site construction methods and modular solutions.
  • Apply problem-solving skills and innovative thinking to design and technical challenges.
  • Review and prepare design and technical drawings.
  • Support and contribute to effective project management activities.

  • To deliver high-quality design solutions from concept through to production.
  • To support business growth through client engagement, market research, and adoption of contemporary off-site construction methods.
  • To ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • To support strategic decision-making through stakeholder engagement, client interaction, and market research.

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience or proven experience as an Architectural Technician / Technologist in a similar role.
  • Proficient with IT Systems and 2D / 3D CAD Software.
  • Methodical, self-motivated and pro-active towards design and problem solving.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning legislation, construction detailing, sustainability, carbon neutral and net-zero initiatives.
  • Passionate for aesthetics and architectural sectors and off-site construction methods.
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

  • Foundation Degree, HND, or Honours Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction, or Built Environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Monthly pay in arrears (by the 28th of each month).
