WJEC 2026 Seasonal Vacancy Scheme – Administrative Assistant: Online Events Team.
Salary: £12.60 per hour / £23,914 per annum pro rata (Real Living Wage).
Contract type: 3x Full-time (36.5 hours per week), Fixed-term until 28 August 2026 (Pay award pending).
About the Team
The Online Events team are key to the success of our online conferences. They have a very pro-active role in providing first line support to our Examiners and Moderators who are accessing online materials and conferences.
Responsibilities
- Provide key support to the team, enabling them to respond to our main customer-base in a timely and effective manner.
- Email handling, sending passwords and triage of calls to the helpdesk.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an administrative role.
- Good communicators and confident working with technology.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft platforms; knowledge of SharePoint and Teams is particularly advantageous.
- Enjoy working as part of a team and speaking to stakeholders via telephone and email.
Working Conditions
The roles are full-time, offered on a fixed-term basis until 28 August 2026. Working hours are expected to be typically 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work required. The roles will be a mix of hybrid and onsite working based in our Western Avenue offices, managed by the Team Leaders.
