Full time: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift usually worked between 0700 and 1900, occasional weekend working

WJ Sunstone is looking for a Technical Production Operative to carry out installations, construction and build on all workshop‑based security systems including access control, wireless systems, CCTV, ARC & SICS units. The ideal candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and with other engineers to deliver key tasks, ensure health and safety is adhered to during all workshop and site work, and carry out other duties as directed by the workshop manager.
Responsibilities
- Learn the build and manufacture/configuration of all new and current customer IP, HDTVI, CCTV, access control systems and wireless infrastructures, including Sunstone’s ARC & SICS units on current and future sites and in the workshop.
- Learn to analyse, troubleshoot and configure control panels, cameras and associated equipment.
- Learn and use the goods in procedure.
- Learn and understand the quality control procedures.
- Support with installations and deployments.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Experience as a Security Systems Engineer – Preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV, Access control and Wireless systems on various scales – Preferred
- Knowledge of DVR and NVR – Preferred
- Knowledge in all types of data cabling and terminations – Preferred
- Networking experience in IP – Preferred
- IPAF – Preferred
- Health and safety qualification – Preferred
- NRSW – Preferred
- ECS card – Preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with commercial awareness to problem solve using an analytical approach – Essential
- Holds a full UK driving licence – Essential
- Ability to work well on your own initiative – Essential
