We are seeking a dedicated Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Coordinator to join our dynamic team and ensure our operations run smoothly from receiving to shipping, while maintaining top-tier quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the receiving of all materials into the facility, including counting items, noting any discrepancies, and posting daily records.
- Oversee component and loose material shipping processes.
- Create Bills of Lading and verify that all outbound loads align with sales orders and the project manager's (PM) expectations.
- Print sales orders and purchase orders as needed.
- Create sales orders when required to support operational needs.
- Manage comprehensive quality control programs.
- Administer the TPI / 3rd Party quality control program for all trusses.
- Monitor truss plate embedment to ensure compliance and structural integrity.
- Monitor nail placement in wall panels for accuracy and safety.
- Actively train production employees daily to improve performance and boost production numbers.
- Conduct daily quality meetings with employees to communicate the quality topic of the day (Daily Reminders).
- Perform walk-throughs of all production lines several times per day to inspect quality.
- Control waste and train employees on proper material usage to minimize inefficiencies.
- Collect and manage production data to enable data-driven decision-making processes.
- Ensure all work areas are clean and free of excess debris and trash on a daily basis.
- Participate in perpetual improvement initiatives to enhance overall operations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in quality control, shipping/receiving, or production management, ideally in construction or manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and training skills for leading daily meetings and employee development.
- Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., TPI programs) and safety protocols is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Compensation
$20 - $25 hourly
