We’re hiring a paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, coordinating law office activity, and conducting legal research and drafting. Responsibilities
- Ensure all estate planning documents are drafted with excellence and professionalism.
- File new LLCs, draft business documents, and obtain tax ID numbers.
- Work with our drafting software.
- Prepare deeds to fund trusts.
- Draft powers of attorney, health care directives, and work closely with the attorney.
- Track important dates and time limits for matters and notify relevant stakeholders as needed.
- Deliver best-in-class service to clients.
- Work cheerfully with colleagues in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Train and be trained on all firm systems, processes, and subject matter.
- Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents.
- Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews.
Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills.
Compensation
$25 - $28 hourly
