We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Engineer to join our dynamic IT team based in our London office near Aldgate. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in networking and physical infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead IT projects and support initiatives. The role may require planned travel within the UK and Europe as required by customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onsite troubleshoot with strong network skills for customer infrastructure including understanding of CGNAT connection within firewalls using Starlink.
- Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex IT issues for end-users and clients.
- Oversee the maintenance and administration of IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications.
- Lead and manage IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard data and IT infrastructure.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, systems, and procedures. Customer documentation needs to be to a high level of detail.
- Mentor and guide junior field engineers, providing training and support as needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective delivery of IT services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or a related role, MSP experience would be an advantage, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership position.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure infrastructure to configure and deploy new hardware i.e. Firewall, switches and wireless.
- Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues with high level of troubleshooting skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network, Microsoft Az-104 or 305, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are preferred. Nice to have would be experience in Palo Alto firewalls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Proven experience in leading IT teams and managing projects.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5:30pm
