Wixams Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Art, Design and Food Technology Technician to support the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning across our creative and practical subjects.
Working across Art, Design Technology and Food Technology, you'll play a key role in preparing resources, maintaining specialist learning environments, supporting practical lessons and helping students develop the creativity, confidence and technical skills needed to succeed.

Reporting to: Head of Art, DT and Food
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and setting up materials, ingredients, tools and equipment for lessons
- Supporting Art, Design Technology and Food Technology practical activities
- Maintaining specialist classrooms, workshops, food rooms and storage areas
- Managing stock levels and assisting with orders and deliveries
- Maintaining tools, machinery and equipment
- Supporting health and safety compliance across the department
- Assisting with displays, exhibitions, showcases and academy events
- Helping to create engaging learning environments where students can thrive

- Has an interest in Art, Design Technology or Food Technology
- Is highly organised and pays excellent attention to detail
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach
- Has strong ICT and administrative skills
