We are recruiting a dynamic and proactive HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR to be the primary coordinator for the WITRON Teams on Construction Project sites in the UK, on all matters of Health and Safety. Playing a pivotal role in supporting the company’s Health and Safety objectives, they will ensure that operational teams, contractors and stakeholders adhere to established safety, environmental, and quality standards, providing guidance and expertise on best practices in a safe and compliant environment.

Your role in our team

  • Provide practical Health and Safety advice and guidance to employees, supervisors, and project teams, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures
  • Deliver an effective Occupational Health and Safety service, including risk assessments and mitigation, implementation of control measures, incident reporting and investigation, safety inspections and audits across varied work environments including construction sites
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Ensure all personnel are following safe work practices and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Support the coordination of regulatory inspections and audits. Work with regulatory authorities to ensure the organization complies with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation, such as safety records, environmental compliance forms and quality assurance logs, are accurately maintained and updated in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in HSE meetings with project teams, providing input on health, safety, environmental and quality matters. Support the HSE Manager in driving HSE initiatives and improvements across projects
  • Provide support and guidance to project teams to ensure that health, safety, environmental and quality standards are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of health and safety training programs. Provide training to staff on topics such as safe work practices, emergency response procedures and the proper use of safety equipment

Ideal candidate profile

  • CSCS Qualifications or similar
  • Temporary Works, Supervisor or Coordinator Qualifications or similar
  • Appointed Person for Lifting Qualification or similar
  • Machine Safety Qualification Level 3 or similar
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction
  • Knowledge of project management, construction and/or automation
  • Excellent time management skills, sound judgement, strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
  • Ability to work at heights and with heavy machinery
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Health & Safety, Construction Management or a related field
  • Knowledge of Machine Safety Standards C and also A, B
