The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Porter to support food preparation and ensure the smooth running of our kitchen. In this role, you will assist with obtaining ingredients, clean food preparation equipment, and maintain a safe, tidy kitchen environment. You will follow standard recipes and ensure food preparation is executed according to the Club’s specifications, using safe and sanitary food handling practices. You will also wash all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils to required standards, clean food storage areas, manage waste, and ensure all kitchen utensils are properly stored. Your duties will include maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic kitchen environment, assisting the chef team where needed, and participating in departmental meetings. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional kitchen at a prestigious golf and country club while contributing to our high standards of food, hygiene and service.
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred.
Schedule
- We operate a 7‑days a week business, between 0600 to 2300.
- Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and encompass all opening hours – weekends and bank holidays.
- Evening availability for functions (until 0200).
