You are recruiting for an experienced Payroll professional, to join us as a key member of our People Shared Services team. We’re keen to hear from candidates who have significant experience managing payroll processes and can deliver the full range of high quality payroll and pension services. This is an integral role for WithYou, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the organisation and supporting a workforce dedicated to delivering vital work.
WithYou is a drug, alcohol and mental health charity employing over 1,600 staff. With over 80 services across England and Scotland, we provide support and advice without judgement to more than 100,000 people a year.
At WithYou, we work with people on their own goals, whether that’s staying safe and healthy, making small changes or stopping an unwanted habit altogether. We give people support in a way that’s right for them either face to face in their local service, community or online. We use our expertise to improve the help available and raise awareness around drugs, alcohol and mental health so that more people can get support.
This is a full time and permanent role working from home, with a salary range of £26,390 - £37,700, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Line managing our small but busy Payroll team
- Keeping accurate payroll records, completing payroll processes to timetable and in line with statutory payroll obligations
- Keeping accurate pension records to ensure that all contributions are deducted and accounted for correctly and that WithYou meets its pension obligations on a monthly basis
- Liaising with third parties to ensure that the payroll function operates efficiently and that statutory and regulatory requirements are met
- Supporting the organisation with all payroll and pension queries
- Maintaining a continuous improvement approach to our processes and procedures
- A successful track record of delivering payroll and pension services in a senior capacity
- The ability to identify and action areas for improvement
- Experience working with our HR and payroll system, Itrent, would be significantly advantageous
- Sound knowledge and understanding of all current PAYE and NIC practices and pension schemes including NHS and LGPS
