Are you an experienced leader ready to make a difference? Our team in Preston is looking for a Team Leader for their Young Person’s services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who knows what it takes to lead a team, manage competing priorities and create an environment where people can do their best work. You don't need to have worked in substance misuse or young people's services to be successful in this role. We’re most interested in the leadership skills, experience and values you can bring. Your management experience could have been gained across health, social care, mental health, criminal justice, housing, community services or another comparable environment. What matters most is that you have a proven track record of leading people, managing services, developing others and delivering high-quality outcomes.

As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year. Our Team Leaders play a vital role in our services, including:

  • Supporting the management team in the delivery of the contracted service, leading on an area of specialism
  • Positively promoting the service and WithYou to external stakeholders
  • Managing the staff within the service to ensure that they are well informed, inspired and engaged with WithYou’s strategic objectives

This position is offered on a full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer a starting salary of £30,900, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £37,080 per year.

We want to hear from people who can inspire and bring out the best in others - your leadership experience doesn't have to have come from substance misuse or young people's services. We’d be excited to see the following in your application:

  • ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • A proven track record of managing and leading drug and alcohol services or mental health services (or comparable services)
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding practices and demonstrable experience in applying and managing these
  • Resilience and the ability to prioritise when working under pressure
  • Demonstrable experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
  • A successful track record of management responsibility and development of others
  • The ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner
  • Experience of developing relationships and engaging with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • A full UK driving licence and use of your own car

Company Benefits:

  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • An extra day off for your birthday or a special occasion of your choice
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave
  • 2 days paid volunteer leave per year
  • Auto-enrollment into We Are With You’s pension scheme
  • Access to a Blue Light Card - giving you great savings on big high-street and online brands
  • Flexible working opportunities and access to a range of services and resources to support you with your wellbeing
  • We have an excellent Refer a Friend scheme which offers you a £500 bonus for any recommendations, any role!

As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff.
