The predicted salary is between 46000 - 61000 ÂŁ per year.

This role will commence in September 2026. Up to ÂŁ53,835 + TLR + excellent benefits. The TLR will be awarded following the successful completion of the probationary period.

Responsibilities

You’ll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but the “huge small victories” you achieve will be something you’re really proud of. As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you’ll receive support from in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals. You will contribute to creating an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the heart of what is offered.

Qualifications and experience

Prior teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status are required. You should have the ability to relate your subject to each pupil and build strong relationships with your class, along with enthusiasm and expertise to develop your department. You should be able to connect with our pupils and work effectively as part of a team.

About the school

Our new Castlefell School is a purpose-built, brand-new, state-of-the-art school catering primarily for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and also for children with autism who have moderate learning needs. The school provides education for up to 50 children aged 8 to 16. This role serves Rudgeway and the wider communities, with the aim of ensuring every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the heart of what is offered.
