Our Teaching Assistants are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There's lots of ups and downs, and to some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories and whilst they may seem small on the surface, they add up to make a big difference.
You’ll be working on a 1:1 basis with a young girl with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing consistent support to help her feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. This role requires someone calm, compassionate and emotionally resilient, with experience supporting children or young people with mental health needs. Your focus will be on building a trusting relationship, helping her regulate emotions and supporting her to return to baseline so she can successfully engage in learning and daily school life. Every small step forward will make a meaningful difference to her confidence, wellbeing and progress. This can be a challenging but incredibly rewarding role.
