Join Ashbrooke School, a leading SEN setting in the North East, supporting young people with ADHD, ASD, SEMH and SLCN. As a Teacher you will work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them learn, develop their abilities and raise self‑esteem.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons that reflect the needs of students with SEND.
  • Support pupils to develop skills, confidence and self‑esteem.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals to provide a holistic learning experience.
  • Use individualised learning plans and assessment data to tailor instruction.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, their families and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Set clear, achievable goals and celebrate progress with pupils.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Resilient, dedicated, team‑player with a genuine passion for teaching.
  • Ability to relate subject to each pupil and build strong relationships.
