Role: Speech & Language Therapist (cover maternity) at Luxborough Court School – an independent specialist day school in Essex for pupils with autism and related needs. You will support a multidisciplinary team and deliver individualised interventions for young people with complex neuro‑developmental and therapeutic needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic support and interventions to children and young people with autism and other neuro‑developmental conditions.
- Collaborate with educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
- Conduct clinical assessments, formulate plans and deliver individualised interventions and engagement.
- Offer consultation, workshops, training and guidance to teams around children.
- Participate in regular supervision and clinical development programmes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with HCPC.
- Demonstrated experience delivering therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs.
- Experience supporting teams to create clinically informed environments.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to lead and train others.
- Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary team with ongoing CPD.
- Valid driving licence – travel is expected.
