As a Pastoral Manager you'll lead your team to meet the emotional needs of our young people. Our pupils may have complex emotional and behavioural needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH, requiring strong support. You'll apply high standards of care, work with families, and develop programs for each individual pupil to create a positive learning environment where every young person can thrive.

With experience working with young people with BESD or ASD in a school or care setting, you will understand developmental needs and what pastoral care entails. A good listener who can motivate your team, you'll inspire young people to achieve. Flexibility, strong organizational skills and effective team management are essential.

Luxborough Court School is a brand-new, purpose-built school registered for 150 pupils aged 5–19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The site features include a large sports hall, a bespoke 6th form suite, therapeutic spaces, extensive outdoor areas, and separate playgrounds with a multi-use games area. There are good public transport connections with Chigwell Station nearby and easy road access to the M11.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils and experience working with families in challenging circumstances
  • Experience of multi-agency work with safeguarding and child protection knowledge
  • NVQ 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Leadership-related qualification (ideally)
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Experience of staff appraisal, performance management and supervision
