Our Teaching Assistants are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There’s lots of ups and downs, and to some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. You’ll be working on a 1:1 basis with a young girl with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing consistent support to help her feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. This role requires someone calm, compassionate and emotionally resilient, with experience supporting children or young people with mental health needs.

Your focus will be on building a trusting relationship, helping her regulate emotions and supporting her to return to baseline so she can successfully engage in learning and daily school life. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supported by an experienced and caring team within a well-resourced environment. We’ll provide ongoing guidance and support to help you develop your skills and build a fulfilling career supporting young people with additional needs.
