Up to £27,528 + excellent benefits. Please note: We currently have both permanent and temporary Teaching Assistant opportunities available, including a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant role; however, the duration of the 1:1 position is dependent on continued funding for the individual pupil and may therefore differ from the other vacancies.

You’ll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but those huge small victories that you achieve will be something you’re really proud of. You’ll be joining Abbeywood School, which opened in 2019, located in a newly refurbished building with every aspect designed to consider the needs of our pupils. Complemented with a highly experienced and dedicated staff team, Abbeywood has grown, both in terms of pupil numbers and reputation, and was recently rated as Good by Ofsted. We provide a range of educational options for young people with ADHD, ASD, Asperger’s and SEMH, including an extensive provision of vocational courses.
