This role is based at The Eaves Learning Centre in the South West. Our fully integrated therapeutic, education and care provision enables young people to realise their full potential, whilst developing their social and emotional resilience for the next chapter in their lives. The unique characteristic of our integrated provisions is the delivery of wrap‑around education, therapy and care to all children and young people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Responsibilities

  • As part of a multi‑disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.
  • You’ll also be assessing our young people’s mental health and recommending appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan.
  • Building rapport is key, by doing this you’ll be able to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.

Qualifications

  • Qualified professional (or accredited counsellor) and eligible for membership of BACP, or a similar professional body (additional mental‑health or therapeutic intervention qualifications would be desirable).
  • Well versed in child development and good at connecting with young people.
  • Highly organised and ready to take the initiative.
  • Genuine care for our young people and honesty and empathy is a must.
