- Backend Engineer Role
As a backend engineer your primary responsibility will be to develop software using Go.
You will be building microservices, deploying them to the cloud and owning them in production.
You will join a cross-functional Agile team alongside frontend developers, QAs and product owners.
In addition to writing code you will be refining user stories, creating database schemas and APIs, doing code reviews, writing documentation, monitoring services, implementing automated tests and demoing your work to clients & stakeholders.
There are also opportunities for "full stack" development, so if you have some knowledge of React or Flutter you can also contribute to web and mobile apps.
Upskilling, spreading knowledge and learning within the team is encouraged.
Requirements
- Go (either 3+ years experience, or 1-2 years if backed up by comprehensive industry experience with other systems programming languages).
- Test automation
- SQL

- Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
- Commercial experience of Kubernetes & Docker
- Solid understanding of CI/CD
- Git
- Experience with distributed systems and patterns
- Comfortable with pair programming
