About The Role
As the copywriter for WNU, you will provide all written word for the brand, across the website, mailers, social media, catalogues, press releases and more. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, the role is essentially in conveying and upholding WNU’s tone of voice, which is an integral part of the brand’s success thus far. As WNU grows, so will the copywriting role, making it an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to help facilitate true change and be a key player at a fast-paced, forward-thinking and socially-conscious fashion company.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for brand tone of voice: Uphold, own and champion WNU’s tone of voice across all channels.
- Website & Product Copy: Write engaging, accurate, and on-brand copy for product descriptions, landing pages, and editorial content on the WNU blog; being able to adjust the tone of voice accordingly whether it is editorially or commercially led.
- Campaigns & CRM: Create conversion-led copy for digital ads, email newsletters and automations, and SMS, in collaboration with the Digital & Growth teams.
- Performance Marketing: Create compelling, on-brand, conversion-led copy for digital ads, in collaboration with the Digital, Content & Growth teams.
- Press & Print Materials: Support the Press team with press releases, lookbooks, and printed brand catalogues.
- Social Media Support: Collaborate with the Social Media team when needed to generate captions and story messaging.
- Creativity: Bring fresh ideas to expand WNU’s storytelling potential across new formats and channels, such as editorial content and creative mailers.
- Interdepartmental communication: Partner closely with Brand, Design, Growth, and PR teams to ensure messaging consistency and brand integrity.
Essential Skills and Requirements
- To be considered for the role of copywriter the successful candidate must have 5+ years relevant experience in an agency or in-house PR team, journalism, publishing or similar.
- Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Google Drive and the Adobe Suite.
- Capable of multitasking, handling a broad range of responsibilities and working to tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills; interpersonal and written.
- Team player who is able to work towards a shared goal.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude, with great interpersonal skills, prepared for front facing responsibilities. Passionate about brand and storytelling.
