The Opportunity
Witcher Associates is working with an established independent insurance brokerage in the Suffolk / Cambridgeshire area that is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join its growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a few years' commercial insurance experience who is looking to take the next step in their career, develop their technical knowledge and become part of a friendly, supportive and experienced team.

The Role
Working closely with experienced Account Executives and the wider broking team, you will be involved in the day-to-day servicing and management of a varied portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling commercial insurance renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business enquiries.
- Working alongside Account Executives to understand client requirements and arrange suitable insurance solutions.
- Liaising and negotiating with insurers to obtain competitive terms and appropriate cover.
- Preparing quotations, policy documentation and renewal information.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
- Ensuring client records are kept accurate and up to date.
- Managing your own workload and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of service.
- Keeping up to date with developments across the commercial insurance market.
About You
We are keen to speak with individuals who have a good foundation in commercial insurance broking and are ready to continue developing their careers.
Ideally, you will have:
- At least three years' experience working within commercial insurance broking.
- Experience dealing with a range of commercial insurance products.
- A good understanding of renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence dealing with insurers and negotiating terms.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills, with experience using Acturis being an advantage.
- Cert CII qualification or an interest in working towards professional qualifications.
