Based at the Service Centre, you will carry out refurbishment and repair of mechanical seals, supporting customers both in the workshop and on site when required. The role combines practical engineering work with teamwork, customer-focus, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out refurbishment, repair, and inspection of mechanical seals and systems
- Deliver workshop-based and on-site service activities as required
- Supervise seal and system installations, including offshore installations when necessary
- Perform preventative maintenance on workshop equipment
- Maintain computerised customer records
- Support warehouse, goods-in, and despatch activities
- Participate in customer training programmes when required
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workshop
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, workload management, and throughput
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, and ISO quality standards
- Support service activities at other service centres, including Cumbernauld and Cork, when required.
Must-haves
- Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK, including offshore sites
