Are you passionate about exceptional service, fine food, and creating memorable guest experiences? Chalk Restaurant opened in November 2021 at the award-winning Wiston Estate vineyard and winery. We are seeking a professional and personable Front of House Team Member to join our dedicated team. As a key part of our front-of-house team, you will be the face of our restaurant. You will greet guests warmly, provide attentive table service, expertly guide them through our menu and wine list, and ensure each guest enjoys a refined and welcoming experience. Chalk’s operating hours are Wednesday to Sunday so a requirement to work weekends is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in line with fine dining standards
- Take orders and serve food and beverages with precision and professionalism
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of our menu, wine list, and specials
- Liaise closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service
- Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of the dining area
- Handle customer queries and resolve any service issues with tact and grace
Requirements
- Prior experience in a fine dining or high-end hospitality environment is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for food, wine, and guest service
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in the UK (18+) and able to provide proof if requested
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
