Overview
We are seeking a Chef to work Saturday & Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm in a residential home in Beckton, London. The successful candidate will be organized and a helpful leader in a busy kitchen environment. Working from newly created menus you will be responsible for organizing, preparing and serving appetising food, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Inspect dishes for quality and attractiveness before serving.
- Carry out weekly stock take and food rotation.
- Achieve and maintain the budgeted food cost.
- Instruct other staff in food prep and kitchen hygiene.
- Instruct staff on required cleaning duties to maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene within the unit.
- Demonstrate excellent standards of customer service.
- Maintain records relating to food production activities and supplier information.
Qualifications
- Be friendly, outgoing, ambitious & energetic.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality kitchens.
- Have a professional attitude to your job and career.
- Have previous chef experience with references.
- Have experience in kitchen management.
- Be legally eligible to work in the UK.

- Pay: From £14.00 per hour

- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata for part time).
