Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those requiring care, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings such as home care settings from home to home.

This role requires a blend of empathy, patience, and practical skills to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

  • Monday to Sunday (2/3 days off a week).
  • Do NOT need to be a Driver.
  • Online Training Required (We can set you up – Costs £40).
  • Fully Enhanced DBS Required (Update Service).

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety of both the caregiver and the client.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
  • Support clients with dementia care by employing effective communication techniques and patience.

Experience

  • Previous experience in senior care, home care, or assisted living is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in hospice care or nursing home environments is an advantage.
  • A background in caregiving that includes meal preparation and heavy lifting is preferred.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a genuine passion for helping others and possess strong interpersonal skills.
