ROLE
This will be a 6 month contract in our London office.
Content is made in the editing room. We are looking for a talented Social Content Editor to join our Films team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Based in our London office in Farringdon, you\'ll be primarily focused on editing short-form, social-first video content across a range of formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1), supporting both organic and paid campaigns for our employer branding clients.
While your core skill set will be video editing, you’ll also be involved in the creative development and ideation process, helping to shape ideas for social-first content.
Motion design experience is a bonus, and there may be opportunities to support content capture on-site using iPhones or DSLRs - though camera skills are not a core requirement.
WHAT YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME DOING:
Edit short-form video content tailored for social media (organic and paid) in multiple formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) based on platform needs.
Crafting engaging narratives from interviews, event footage, behind-the-scenes content, and storytelling.
Sourcing and syncing music, sound effects, and text overlays to maximise engagement.
Experimenting with new editing techniques, formats, and trends to keep our clients content feeling fresh and native to each platform.
Occasionally attend social shoots, supporting on-site filming with iPhones or DSLRs.
Colour grading and sound mixing to deliver polished, professional output.
Manage and deliver organised content assets, ready for internal and client reviews.
Keeping an eye on emerging social media trends to inform creative decisions and stay ahead of the curve.
QUALIFICATIONS
2–3 years of experience editing social-first content in a creative environment (agency, brand or freelance).
Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects experience a bonus).
Creative Thinking: Ability to contribute to social ideas and content strategies where relevant.
Social Savvy: Strong understanding of social media platforms, formats, and latest trends.
Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for storytelling, pacing, and brand consistency.
Bonus Skills: Basic motion design and/or basic filming knowledge (iPhone/DSLR).
Understanding of various file formats, color spaces and working with log/raw footage.
