Salary: The exact specifics around remuneration will depend on the level of experience and suitability for the role and our team. Industry experience will be a strong consideration, but not the deciding factor. We are hiring based on potential, ambition and cultural fit.

At Sophie Tea Art, we are looking to democratise and disrupt the art industry. Community, humour, hustle and empowerment are at the centre of what we are trying to build, and we are excited to welcome new talent to help us grow into the biggest art brand in the world. We’re looking for the right person to own our marketing on a full-time basis. As a key member of our marketing team, you will work directly with Sophie and alongside a tight-knit team. If you want to roll up your sleeves (and get the occasional splatter of paint on them), keep reading.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be the engine room of our marketing output - planning, managing and executing day-to-day activity across web, email, and campaign content.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Project and campaign management: Oversee the production of marketing and sales materials. Plan, manage and deliver multiple campaigns, landing pages, web updates, and marketing drops.
  • Schedule and update newsletters and website: For example, 7-8 newsletters per month, campaign updates, and the website, using tools like Klaviyo, Shopify and ArtLogic.
  • Content management: Liaise with our overseas editor and contractors to manage the content calendar.
  • New business opportunities and brand building: Coordinate with external suppliers and support the marketing of new businesses under the Sophie Tea Art umbrella.
  • Email marketing: Own the newsletter process end-to-end - structure, write, design, and schedule in Klaviyo.
  • Events and international travel: Get involved with the planning and delivery of events, with the ability to travel to different countries and regions.
  • Data-driven insight: Track engagement, analyse results, and suggest improvements.
  • Trend and tech spotting: Keep us on top of new platforms and opportunities.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with the team on campaign ideas and bounce off art direction ideas from Sophie herself.
  • Brand guardian: Ensure everything brilliant we do is shared, documented, and lives on our platforms.

You are:

  • A natural organiser who thrives in creative environments.
  • Clear, confident, and human in how you communicate.
  • Proactive with a “make it happen” attitude.
  • In tune with your surroundings - culturally aware and trend-savvy.
  • Forward-thinking and unafraid to ask “why not?”.

We’re looking for:

We’re open to marketing experts at varying stages of their career and will consider anyone with 3+ years’ experience – but we’re also open to someone who’s done it all before. The role and responsibilities can flex depending on experience.

Experience in:

  • Shopify (essential)
  • Klaviyo (essential)
  • Photoshop and InDesign (essential)
  • Comfortable using or learning CRMs
  • Strong email and website execution experience
  • Bonus: knowledge of SEO and LinkedIn marketing

Benefits:

  • Cycle-to-work scheme: Our cycle-to-work programme - perfect for those Shoreditch commutes.
  • Mobile allowance: Stay connected and flexible with a mobile allowance to cover your work-related phone expenses.
  • Computer/Mac provided: We’ll make sure you have the tools you need.
  • Work and team trips: There will be exciting trips that blend business with fun.
  • Genuine connections: Sophie is invested in getting to know everyone personally.
  • Time off: 28 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays).

At Sophie Tea, we’re committed to fostering a culture where everyone feels empowered to be themselves and inspired to excel. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, ability, or socioeconomic status. We believe that everyone should feel comfortable and be able to back themselves in an inclusive environment where individuality is celebrated.
