Wise May are looking for a proactive Receptionist to work within a facilities team of 6 for a Reinsurance company based in The City of London. This is a permanent, fully office-based role with a fantastic shift pattern. Monday to Friday: 35 hours per week.

Reception duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the reception area, greeting clients and guests and answering and directing phone calls.
  • Responsible for following all Firm security protocols for all visitors to the reception area.
  • Meeting room set up for client meetings, including ensuring meeting rooms are kept stocked with all necessary stationery and refreshments.
  • Arranging and ordering catering requirements for internal and client events held in the office as well as coordinating with other internal teams.
  • Travel arrangements for guests including booking taxis.
  • Assisting the events team where necessary.

Receptionist key skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of three years of experience as a corporate receptionist.
  • Be highly organised, efficient, and self-motivated with the ability to work across a range of tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage schedules, logistics, and resources efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to meet tight deadlines.
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people at all levels in a range of styles.
