Wise May are looking for a Legal Executive Assistant to join our client, a Law firm based in the City. This is an amazing opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team in a fast growing company. This role supports the Dispute Resolution team and will require relevant Legal experience. This is a full-time 12 month FTC, with hybrid working and the hours are 9am - 5:30pm.
Legal Executive Assistant duties to include:
- Provide EA support to the Dispute Resolution team (7 people), which includes the head of department, partners, senior associates and paralegals.
- Open files and prepare client care documentation, including AML and conflict checks.
- Draft, format and amend legal documents, correspondence and court forms (e.g. witness statements, Notices of Change, AOS).
- Manage court filings via online portals and email.
- Support billing processes, including raising invoices, payment requests and monitoring disbursements.
- Assist with debt recovery, including chasing outstanding payments and producing reports.
- Produce reports including time recording summaries.
- Conduct legal and factual searches and obtain supporting documentation (e.g. Infotrack).
- Maintain accurate filing systems and handle confidential information appropriately.
- Support complaints handling processes and ensure key deadlines are met.
- Assist with general office tasks, including printing, scanning, copying and document collation.
- Use systems such as DocuSign and Titanfile for document management.
- Provide wider support to the secretarial pool as required.
Legal Executive Assistant skills required:
- Previous experience in a legal secretarial role within a contentious environment, ideally supporting Dispute Resolution / Litigation (2–4 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of legal processes, including AML, conflict checks, billing and court procedures.
- Experience supporting fee earners in a busy, transactional environment.
- Excellent document formatting and attention to detail, with confidence producing court documents and bundles.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of legal systems (e.g. Practice Evolve, DocuSign, Titanfile, Infotrack).
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a team‑focused approach.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
